Hello all! And welcome back to Teaching Little Readers!
Today’s topic is an exciting one! I am very excited that the countdown for the next holiday has begun and the one to grace us with it’s presence, (metaphorically speaking of-course) will be no other than Valentine’s Day! Woohoo! Many schools and classrooms celebrate this lovely holiday, for an entire month! It’s never too early or late to celebrate love and caring about people. I love creating resources for this day too! The illustrations alone are so incredibly cute and fun to make! If looking for some extra work, early finishers, or easy learning activity that requires no prep, check out my (VALENTINE’S DAY BOOM CARDS – LEARNING DIGITAL TASK CARDS ). I also love seeing the excitement of the children surrounding this day too! There are many different activities one can do, such as writing letters, sensory play, scientific experiments, reading time, painting, and crafts! I adore sensory play and scientific experiments! It is my favorite thing to do with the kiddies, next to writing letters! Writing letters with them is so much fun, kids get to express their feelings and show others that they care and they get the chance to be super creative too! You can use sprinkles, stickers, you name it! I have gathered some of my favorite inspiration and activities (via Pinterest) for the classroom so that I can share with you all! Happy Valentine’s Day! ♡
